A few days ago while browsing the shops we bought my wife a new mobile phone (cellphone if you're from the USA). We figured that it was about time we updated to the new, fantastic, magic android phones with the snazzy touch screen, GPS, "jazzy apps" and to keep up with the latest "technology".
Well, that was a HUGE mistake!
I have never owned a mobile phone and never will, my wife doesn't know how to set one up and since I like technology and have a pretty good knowledge of computers and electronic stuff I figured "how hard could it be"?
The phone was an LG-P350 and the booklet that came with it explained next to nothing, I couldn't find any info on the net to explain how to use it and so we were hopelessly lost..
I ended up getting so frustrated with the dumb phone that I came close to putting a hammer through it. I'm 61 years old and probably 10 years ago I could have easily figured it out, but now I can't help but wonder how the hell anyone uses these stupid phones.
We've ended up putting the sim card back into my wife's old push button phone and putting the new android phone om eBay to try and recoup some money.
Is it just us - are we really so dumb that we can't work the next generation phones, or is it because the phone designers make them too complicated and can't be bothered providing adequate instructions?
Anyway - we're done with these super duper phones and we're going to buy a couple of spare push button ones (while they're still made) and use them until we're too old to bother with mobile phones.
you are not dump, I am 29 computer techie and could not understand those phones often too... try different platform (not Android one)
