My Freeware
This page contains an assortment of programs that I've knocked together in my moments of sanity in this insane world. There are also some PHP scripts, some compilations of web graphics, mobile phone pictures and animations and javascript. The graphics available for download from this page have been compiled by me from freely available resources on the Internet and to my knowledge they are feely distributable.
Unlike politicians - there is nothing hidden in any of my software. There are no viruses, malware, spyware, trojans, back doors or worms. No changes are made to your registry, no files are created or changed in your Windows directory and no data is sent over the Internet - and that's about as safe as it gets!.
Please Note
Virus detection programs are constantly updated and occasionally these programs show false positives for harmless software.Unfortunately software developers like me are the ones to suffer. If you are unsure, then try using another anti virus/anti spyware program, or one of the many on-line scanners available. And feel free to search Google for "virus false positives", you may be quite surprised to find out just how many "false positives" virus software finds!!
I reiterate again - there is NOTHING harmful in ANYTHING on my site!!
Please feel free to distribute for free, anything you download here.

- The Price Of Freedom
- This is an EBook of my Father's War Diary, it is on-line from my home page but I thought that I'd also make it available for everyone to download. My father was in the British Royal Artillery and was taken prisoner by the Japanese after the fall of Singapore in February 1942. He was a P.O.W. for three and a half years in the infamous Changi P.O.W. camp and also on the "Death Railway" in Burma, while there he managed to keep a diary hidden from the Japanese, so this is his story which I think needs to be told.

- Business Manager
- I originally wrote this for the old Commodore 64 many, many years ago and ran our Video/Computer business on it, then I decided to port it to the PC (this was before Windows was popular).
You can run a small business using this program and it will print out sheets adequate to give to your accountant including monthly and yearly income and sales, individual and total expenses summaries and profit and a loss sheet. It's extremely simple to use and fairly "stupid proof", but I haven't had the opportunity to thoroughly test this PC version although I do not believe that there are any serious bugs in it so I thought I'd make it available to anyone who could use it. All data is saved in plain text files and a data backup facility is included.
Please note that this program was designed using the DOS "LPrint" statement and may only print through DOS using a serial port printer.

- Security Sign
- Ever wondered what makes someone think twice about breaking into a house?
Is it the alarm system in the house?
Or is the warning sign on the window?
Not too hard to work out, is it? Here's a BMP image you can print that will give you security warning labels to put on your windows. It's a fictitious Security company and you don't have to have an alarm installed, but the imbecilic morons who break into houses won't know that. I made this sign for my home and it looks the same as the real thing.

- The Hacker Crackdown
- This is the free electronic version of Bruce Sterling's highly successful paperback book. It is the most fascinating real story you will read about computer hacking. Anyone remember 8 inch floppy disks, 300 baud modems, BBS's, green screen monitors and no internet - welcome to the early eighties.
This is a book about cops, and wild teenage whiz-kids, and lawyers, and hairy-eyed anarchists, and industrial technicians, and hippies, and high-tech millionaires, and game hobbyists, and computer security experts, and Secret Service agents, and grifters, and thieves. This book is about the electronic frontier of the 1990s. It concerns activities that take place inside computers and over telephone lines.
